The name Co-Creative Clivias
The name Co-Creative Clivias is a name the Lord gave me. It means that God created all living things by just speaking the word. We have the priviledge of co-creating with God in trying to breed new strains. It also means that we co-create with many other breeders all over the world. This is a humbling experience to know that many have walked before us and created strains for us that we can now breed with. Accuracy in breeding can only come through interdependancy. We are dependant on the breeding results of every nation from every corner of the globe.
In my own breeding program which still has a long way to go, I have had many breeders influence me. I have combined breeding with Belguim, Japanese, Chinese, South African and other genetic material. I cannot create any new breeding without the results of other breeders. This is what Co-Creative Clivias is all about. CO-CREATING, and enjoying the creations of other growers, breeders and clivia enthusiasts.
A very good example of co-creating is crosses between Florid White Lips (Belguim plant) and Andrew Gibson (South Africa) and Mirabilis (South Africa) and Eshowe Yellow (South Africa).
